�鶹��Ƶ College was named a finalist in the fourth annual Second Nature 2013 Climate Leadership Awards, an annual competition among colleges and universities that are signatories of the American College & University Presidents’ Climate Commitment (ACUPCC).

The Artist Recital Series concert with renowned pianist Garrick Ohlsson, scheduled for Tuesday, February 12 in Finney Chapel, has been canceled due to illness. There will not be an opportunity to reschedule the performance this season. �鶹��Ƶ's Contemporary Music Ensemble, under the direction of conductor Timothy Weiss, released their debut recording on the �鶹��Ƶ Music label at their DiMenna Center concert in New York City on Friday, January 18. The CD, A place toward other places, features solo performances by conservatory faculty clarinetist Richard Hawkins.

�鶹��Ƶ College was named the Best 4-Year Higher Education Institution on the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Center for Green Schools “Best of Green Schools 2012” list.

Sunday, January 20, will mark �鶹��Ƶ’s annual community celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The Cleveland Orchestra returns to �鶹��Ƶ College for its 211th Artist Recital Series performance on Friday, February 8, at 8 p.m. in Finney Chapel. Gianandrea Noseda will conduct the orchestra in a diverse and colorful program of works by Rachmaninoff, Rota, and Prokoviev. The �鶹��Ƶ Orchestra, performing with guest soloist Jeremy Denk ’90 and led by Associate Professor of Conducting Raphael Jiménez, will give a preview of their 2013 NYC Tour Carnegie Hall program on January 16 in Finney Chapel. The concert will begin at 8:00 p.m. and admission is free.

Kindred spirits Steven Isserlis and Jeremy Denk will perform on �鶹��Ƶ College's Artist Recital Series on Tuesday, February 5.
