Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ College to Receive $10,000 Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts

The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ College Department of Dance has been approved for a $10,000 Grants for Arts Projects award from the National Endowment for the Arts to support Critical Mass: CI @ 50, a five-day international conference that will reflect on the history and significance of Contact Improvisation and Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ College’s legacy in its development.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ College to Help Create a National Coalition of Liberal Arts Institutions to Examine Race and Equity on Campuses

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ College Reaffirms its Commitment to Accessibility with New Scholarship

To help families address the increasing cost of higher education, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ College will award a $10,000 Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Commitment Scholarship to all new students who apply and enroll in fall 2021. The scholarship will be renewable for up to four years for students pursuing degrees in either the College of Arts and Sciences or the Conservatory of Music, and up to five years for students who are pursuing a double degree.

President Carmen Twillie Ambar and Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ College announced today the launch of the Presidential Initiative on Racial Equity and Diversity in response to increasing injustice and racial tensions in America. The Presidential Initiative will elevate and advance Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s more than 180-year commitment to the education and rights of Blacks in America and will provide the framework for faculty and students to address issues of violence, police-community relationships, and racial injustices.

First joint Cuba-U.S. geology team in half a century discovers Cuban fertilizer pollution far lower than the Mississippi River—a model for global agriculture. Associate Professor of Geology Amanda Schmidt was a member of the team of scientists who studied the impact of contemporary agriculture on the water quality in Cuba’s rivers.
