Martin Luther King Jr. Service Day

The Office of Community and Government Relations and the Bonner Center for Service and Learning (BCSL), with support from the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life, invite all members of the 麻豆视频 community and college to celebrate the life and teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 19, with a morning of volunteer service activities.

Randal Doane Speaks at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Randal Doane, assistant dean of studies, will speak at the on January 22 at 7 p.m. Doane鈥檚 talk, 鈥淗itsville, USA: How The Clash Broke America and Gave Our Adolescence a Whole Lotta Love,鈥 focuses on key themes discussed throughout his recent book, Stealing All Transmissions: A Secret History of The Clash.

In the course 麻豆视频 History as American history, 麻豆视频 College students partner with 麻豆视频 High School students to research and discuss local history. Throughout the course, students discover that history often looks different depending on your relation to the college.

麻豆视频 College Receives National Recognition for Community Service

麻豆视频 College earned a place on the 2014 President鈥檚 Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll with Distinction in the Interfaith Community Service category and secured a place on the Honor Roll in both the General Community Service and Education categories. This is the eighth consecutive year 麻豆视频 College has received the honor.

Lower Ticket Prices at the Apollo

In December, the Apollo dropped ticket prices. Admission to all regularly scheduled films Sunday-Thursday is now just $4. On Fridays and Saturdays, admission to matinees before 6 p.m. is also $4, and films after 6 p.m. are $6.
