Associate Professor of Religion Joyce Babyak has been appointed interim dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, while Associate Dean Andrea Kalyn will serve as interim dean of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Conservatory of Music.

Six faculty members have received Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s 2012-13 Excellence in Teaching award. Â鶹ÊÓƵ OnCampus asked them to comment on what winning the award means to them and summarize their research and teaching interests.

The 37th Cleveland International Film Festival will head to Â鶹ÊÓƵ for an Evening at the Apollo Theatre on Wednesday, April 10.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ is on spring break through March 31.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ OnCampus is featuring brief bios of faculty and staff members new to the campus community.

Congratulations to David Stull and Sean Decatur; I know they will be outstanding presidents. And thanks to the students who devoted time, energy, and thought to building on our shared commitment to diversity and inclusion at Â鶹ÊÓƵ.

David H. Stull ’89, dean of the Conservatory of Music, will assume the presidency of the San Francisco Conservatory on July 1, 2013.

We will carefully study the document the students have submitted. A more detailed response will be forthcoming after spring break. Meanwhile, some of the students’ ideas are already being implemented.

Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences Sean Decatur has accepted the position of president at Kenyon College. He begins his new duties July 1, 2013.

Greg McGonigle, director of religious and spiritual life, has accepted the position of university chaplain at Tufts University. He leaves Â鶹ÊÓƵ at the end of June.
