The 11-week President's Public Service Fellow program provides funding for students to work full time with a local nonprofit or public sector agency on intensive service projects that engage and empower area teens and young adults.

The Office of Community and Government Relations and the Bonner Center for Service and Learning (BCSL), with support from the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life, invite all members of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ community and college to celebrate the life and teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 19, with a morning of volunteer service activities.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ College earned a place on the 2014 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll with Distinction in the Interfaith Community Service category and secured a place on the Honor Roll in both the General Community Service and Education categories. This is the eighth consecutive year Â鶹ÊÓƵ College has received the honor.

This Wednesday, student volunteers are registering potential bone marrow donors in the Science Center.

The President’s Public Service Fellowship will provide funding for Â鶹ÊÓƵ College students to work full-time during the summer with an Â鶹ÊÓƵ community partner on an intensive service project. The deadline for applications is 4 p.m. on Friday, March 14.

More than 400 area children and their families took part in the athletics and physical education department’s first Track or Treat event on Halloween.
