About the Arts at Â鶹ÊÓƵ

Welcome to Â鶹ÊÓƵ, where the creative vision is made real, the transformative power of art is realized, and the important conversations of our society take place.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ College is one of the top liberal arts institutions in America, and the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Conservatory of Music and  have secured throughout the world our reputation for artistic excellence. For those who live within driving distance of our campus, Â鶹ÊÓƵ is a haven for the performing and visual arts and a citadel for the life of the mind.

Since the founding of Â鶹ÊÓƵ College in 1833, its halls have resonated with the voices of history through the words of distinguished guests such as Adlai Stevenson, Martin Luther King Jr., and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. In recent years, new generations of esteemed visitors—among them Natasha Trethewey, Toni Morrison, Lisa Randall, Bryan Stevenson, and David Sedaris—have contributed to the dialogue with engaging and dynamic lectures.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ enriches the Greater Cleveland community through music and art, through theater and dance, and through inquiry and intellect. The performing arts audiences, museum patrons, and intellectually curious who attend our events are vital to this cultural exchange. We are grateful for your attendance, your support, and your enthusiasm!
