This environmental sculpture commemorates Â鶹ÊÓƵ as a major stop on the Underground Railroad, the secret route by which abolitionists helped enslaved persons escape to freedom in the Civil War era. Cameron Armstrong (then a senior at Â鶹ÊÓƵ College) constructed the piece in 1977 as part of a class art project; the Class of 1977 donated funds that enabled the college to preserve it as a permanent structure, located near Talcott Hall.
Â鶹ÊÓƵ to Â鶹ÊÓƵ
Â鶹ÊÓƵ has separate application processes for the College of Arts and Sciences and the Conservatory of Music.
