Former Congressman Ron Paul will visit ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ for a entitled βLiberty Definedβ on Sunday, April 7, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in Finney Chapel.
The event is open to the public but is ticketed, limited to two free tickets per ID. Tickets are available at the ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ Central Ticket Service located in Hall Auditorium, open Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m.
The ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ College Republicans and Libertarians, a group founded in 1982 to encourage political dialogue on campus, is sponsoring the event.
βThe ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ community has always been a bastion of social justice,β says senior Nick Miller, president of the OC Republicans and Libertarians. βMy hope is that those who attend will come away with the notion that personal and economic liberty is not only consistent with many of the beliefs ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ holds dear, but also that such freedoms make the most natural ally in achieving our goals of social and economic justice.β
The group has formerly brought to campus such speakers as columnist Shikha Dalmia, blogger and political commentator Michelle Malkin β92, and former political adviser and news analyst Karl Rove as a part of the Ronald Reagan Political Lectureship Series.
