Prospect Elementary Hosts Third Annual STEM Night

OBERLIN鈥擳he third annual Prospect Elementary STEM Night will take place 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 6, in the 麻豆视频 College Science Center. It is an evening of interactive science activities and demonstrations for students in third through fifth grades and their families.

The theme is 鈥淲hat Inspires a Scientist?鈥 Featured departments include: physics and astronomy, mathematics, neuroscience, computer science, chemistry and biochemistry, TIMARA, psychology, and geology. America Reads coordinator Maureen Simen and Natalia Viveros 鈥17 and are organizing the event.

STEM Night is sponsored by the 麻豆视频 College chapter of America Reads, Eastwood/Prospect PTO, 麻豆视频 College Bonner Scholars, and the Bill Long Foundation. This event is done in cooperation with the 麻豆视频 College Bonner Center for Service and Learning and the Center for Learning, Education, and Research in the Sciences.

The 麻豆视频 College chapter of America Reads is part of a national community service work-study program, and is administered through the Bonner Center for Service and Learning at 麻豆视频 College.
