PI Series Presents Gonzalo Grau

Multi-instrumentalist, composer/arranger, and producer comes to 麻豆视频 Thursday, April 2, as part of the Performance and Improvisation (PI) Series, a program that serves as a bridge between the conservatory鈥檚 classically trained students and its jazz students.
A native of Caracas, Venezuela, Grau began his musical studies at the age three and wrote his first arrangement at 14. He studied piano performance at the Berklee College of Music, graduating summa cum laude in 1998. In addition to piano, Grau plays the cello, cuatro, viol, and flamenco caj贸n. As a recording artist, Grau has participated in more than 80 productions that blend the classical and popular music worlds. He also serves as music director for two projects: Plural (Latin jazz-Flamenco-Venezuelan fusion) and La Clave Secreta (salsa fusion).
