Philanthropist Peter B. Lewis, who as an individual and as a member of his family contributed significantly to ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅βs Adam Joseph Lewis Center for Environmental Studies and the Green Arts District, died Saturday, November 23, at his home in Coral Gables, Florida. βPeter Lewis was a visionary, courageous, and civic-minded philanthropist,β says David W. Orr, Paul Sears Distinguished Professor of Environmental Studies and Politics and senior adviser to the president. βHis generosity to ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ has significantly changed the college and will be felt for a very long time.β
