ObieSafe guidelines are at the forefront of �鶹��Ƶ’s Program Board activity planning this year. Such methods as using larger venues to host events and livestreaming concerts have allowed the board to continue offering community building activities. At the September 26 movie night, students were invited to bring blankets and make themselves comfortable on the field as the stadium lights were turned off and Black Panther played on a large screen. The movie was chosen to honor late actor Chadwick Boseman.

“We did pretty well with social distancing, getting folks to spread out by reminding them with some announcements before the film started and as they entered the stadium,” says Sean Lehlbach, assistant director of student activities. Students also wore masks. 

“The video quality was great and we tried out a newer technology of casting the sound over Wi-Fi for this first event to see how it would go,” continues  Lehlbach. “We had some minor hiccups, but we hope to continue to improve for future shows with the use of an app or other sound options.” 

The next stadium movie night is a nod to the 1980s and 1990s at 7:30 p.m., October 3, with viewings of The Breakfast Club and Clueless. Pre-registration is required. Check for future movies on �鶹��Ƶ’s .
