With a capacity of 230, Nancy Schrom Dye Lecture Hall is the largest lecture facility on campus. It is capable of hosting anything from satellite videoconferences to showings of 16mm films with surround sound. A variety of symposia, performances, guest lectures, panel discussions, movies, and other public events are held here. It is on the ground floor of the Science Center.

Commonly referred to as Dye Lecture Hall, the space was originally called West Lecture Hall—because it’s on the west side of the building—after the center was completed in 2002. On October 29, 2013, the college administration changed the name of the hall to honor Nancy Schrom Dye, Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s 13th president, during whose administration the Science Center was developed and constructed. The renaming of the lecture hall was made possible by an anonymous gift that also supports access and equity at Â鶹ÊÓƵ.
