This letter is required for a nomination to be considered.</p> <p>Nominations should be no more than two pages in length and should be submitted to the Office of the Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary, by email at <a href="mailto:secretary.office@oberlin.edu?subject=Nomination%20submission">secretary.office@oberlin.edu</a> by end of day Monday, November 18, 2024.</p> <p>If the nominee is an �鶹��Ƶ alumnus, please include the year of graduation.</p> <p><strong>AWARD FOR DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY:</strong> This award is to be conferred upon “persons from the Lorain County area who have made significant contributions to the welfare of the community and its residents.” �鶹��Ƶ employees are not eligible.</p> <p>The General Faculty Honorary Degrees Committee will consider candidates for this award. Workers hoisted speakers, chairs were set 6 feet apart, and bleachers were marked with bright orange tape for physical distancing among guests. In order to keep crowds at low capacity, two ceremonies will be held on May 14. The 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. events will be the first graduations held at the Austin E. Knowlton Athletics Complex and the first ceremonies since the pandemic. </p> <p>Here’s a peek at this year’s graduation setup.
