The students are employed by the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion to conduct the Title IX instruction that federal regulation requires of all campuses. The trio spoke about the importance of peer education and presented exercises they do with first-year students for consent and bystander intervention trainings.</p> <p>Reflecting on the significance of the group’s participation in the summit, Findling says, “I find it so fulfilling and important to talk about peer education around consent and the prevention of sexualized violence. I'm very proud of the work PRSM does on campus and felt honored to be able to bring that out into the world and share it with other Ohio students.”</p> <p>The PRSM program ensures that each first-year or new student attends two, two-hour consent workshops led by peer trainers. The program is designed and written collaboratively by students and the <a href="/equity-diversity-inclusion">Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion</a>.</p></div> <div class="field field--name-field-news-type field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden field__item">Campus News</div> <div class="field field--name-field-news-date field--type-datetime field--label-hidden field__item"><time datetime="2018-11-13T12:00:00Z">Tue, 11/13/2018 - 12:00</time> </div> <div class="field field--name-field-news-author field--type-string field--label-hidden field__item">Communications Staff</div> <div class="field field--name-field-news-tags field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden field__items"> <div class="field__item"><a href="/news?tag=2564">Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion</a></div> </div> <div class="field field--name-field-news-image-caption field--type-string-long field--label-hidden field__item">From left to right: Kira Findling, Cece Longo, and Eli Presberg</div> <div class="field field--name-field-news-pin-school-page field--type-boolean field--label-hidden field__item">Off</div> <div class="field field--name-field-news-photo-gallery-top field--type-boolean field--label-hidden field__item">false</div> <div class="field field--name-field-news-image-credit field--type-string field--label-hidden field__item">Provided by the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion</div> <div class="field field--name-field-news-media field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden field__item"> <img loading="lazy" src="/sites/default/files/styles/width_760/public/content/news/image/prsm.jpg?itok=xIawX5Aw" width="760" height="570" alt="PRSM student trainers standing by large presentation screen"> </div> Wed, 14 Nov 2018 21:47:16 +0000 hhempste 127506 at Q&A with Rebecca Mosely /news/qa-rebecca-mosely <span>Q&amp;A with Rebecca Mosely</span> <span><span>hhempste</span></span> <span><time datetime="2018-10-11T10:37:44-04:00" title="Thursday, October 11, 2018 - 10:37">Thu, 10/11/2018 - 10:37</time> </span> <div class="text-content field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item"><p>Rebecca Mosely, Title IX and ADA coordinator and director of <a href="/equity-diversity-inclusion">Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion</a>, supports all individuals in the campus community on matters related to protected class.
